2012年11月22日,杜维明主讲才斋讲堂第五十讲:儒学创新的哲学反思
11月22日晚,北京大学才斋讲堂第50讲在二教107教室拉开帷幕。北京大学高等人文研究院院长、国际儒学联合会副会长杜维明院士,以“儒学创新的哲学反思”为题,与同学们分享了他对儒学中自我、社群、自然与天道概念的理解以及针对儒学未来发展走向的主张。研究生院刘明利副院长主持讲座。 杜维明教授首先明确了儒学的三段历史分期。他指出,儒学发展历史上的第一时期为曲阜时期(公元前6世纪—公元1世纪),这一时期儒学得到初步发展并逐渐被大范围地接受,象征着儒学从曲阜走向中国;第二时期为宋明儒学时代(11世纪—19世纪中叶),这一时期儒学吸收了道、佛的观点,逐步传播至东亚各国并产生重要影响,象征着儒学从中国走向东亚;第三时期为新儒学时代,这一时期儒学在曲折中得到复兴,涌现出一大批复兴儒学的学者,潜藏着儒学从东亚走向世界的趋势。 在明确儒学发展历史的基础上,杜教授介绍了儒学的三个显著特征。通过对“儒学在西方传播过程中的语言障碍”、“日本武士道精神同儒学的结合”、“‘文化中国’同儒学的关系”等议题或者现象的分析,杜教授指出,儒家不仅是跨时代的现象,更是跨文化的存在。杜教授又分析了来自政治、历史、心理、哲学等领域对儒学的研究观点,指出儒学拥有多学科的研究领域。之后,杜教授深刻分析了儒学的分层性,他认为儒学在发展过程中自然分布在精英阶层和民间,而儒学在民间的影响力远远超过对知识阶级的影响力。 最后,杜教授详细阐述了解儒学的途径。他指出,了解儒学必须顾及道(核心理论)、学(学术系统)、政(实践运用)三个范围。他认为,儒家的核心理论是“仁”,因为儒家任何一个理论观点都和“仁”产生联系,离开“仁”便失去了价值,并且其他理论价值都在丰富“仁”的观点。儒家的“仁”作为理论的核心,不具备真理成分也并非教条,它在反映人的社会性的同时也彰显着人的主体性。杜教授希望更多的人能够深层次地理解儒学,促进儒学的进一步发展与传播。 编辑:碧荷 https://book.douban.com/subject/6725994/

2012年11月20日,杜维明:换角度认识孔子 用人文破解金钱思维
杜维明:中国当代著名学者,现代新儒家学派代表人物。现任北京大学高等人文研究院院长,国际儒学联合会副会长,国际哲学学会名誉院士(代表中国)。 认真考虑当下这个时代语境,反观人类的困境,就会发现无论是个人、家庭、社群、国家乃至世界的问题,都可以对照儒家的精神加以反思。 我想做的工作就是继承蔡元培的办学理念,把中国的儒家精神变成一种既能在现代学术基础上站得住脚的学问,同时又能在身心性命方面受用的德业。 大学的教育更应该继承文化,为学生创造自我发展的条件,让他们成为有批判意识的人。 ——北京大学高等人文研究院院长杜维明教授 10月底,世界伦理中心在北京大学成立。 这个凝聚了北京大学高等人文研究院院长杜维明教授与德国图宾根大学普世神学荣休教授孔汉思共同心血的学术结构,旨在为世界伦理研究注入中国文明的古老精神智慧及文化元素。 在世界伦理中心成立之际,以继承与阐扬儒家思想为己任的杜维明教授接受了记者记者的专访。72岁的他虽因忙碌而疲惫,但仍旧神采飞扬,侃侃而谈,亲和宽容,言可御寒。 杜维明教授说:“儒家思想不再只是书斋中的命题,它所蕴含的智慧是没有国界疆域的,一定能为世界当前的发展提供智慧。” 经济学家林毅夫在该中心成立致辞中指出,中国经济的增长潜力要得到充分释放,必须深深扎根中国文化,同时又借鉴西方的伦理尤其是经济伦理的创新。
