2012年9月20日-23日,嵩山论坛2012:天地之中(嵩山)——华夏文明与世界文明论坛
论坛介绍:21世纪,人类文明面临新的挑战。越来越多的国家终于认识到:一国的综合国力,既包括经济、科技、军事实力等表现出来的“硬实力”,也包括以价值观念、社会制度、发展模式、生活方式、意识形态等所体现的不同背景的“文化凝聚力”。这是一种无形的力量,深深植入在不同国家和民族的灵魂之中。 世界上有一种倾向,即凭籍“硬实力”去对抗。这也往往使国与国之间、民族与民族之间的矛盾更加激化,世界更加动荡。世界和平与文明需要通过文化交流、和谐对话,增进了解,加强理解去化解矛盾。不同国家、不同民族,通过展示各自的“文化吸引力” 实现各自的发展目标,赢得普遍的尊敬,才能最终实现人类共同进步和发展。这即是儒家所谓的 “潜移默化”。 世界如此,中国更是如此!改革开放三十年来中国经济得到了史无前例的发展。然而,华夏民族的核心价值,如“仁、义、礼、智、信”、“清静无为”、人际关系“和而不同”、“求同存异”、“礼尚往来”、和谐的社会实践,乃至“天下一家”,“殊途同归”,“民吾同胞,物吾与也”的人生观和宇宙观的思想都没有成为国际社会的共识。我国的文化建设与经济发展不相匹配,中国需要了解世界,也希望世界了解中国。 在文化学术领域,我国迫切需要建立一个总结历史、关注当下、放眼未来的人文平台。中华民族是一个关注学习和对话 的民族,五千年来崇尚和平。 正值世界矛盾冲突不断的时期,我们倡议建立一个华夏文明与世界文明核心价值的对话平台,通过对话解决争端和冲突,为全球社会走向“对话文明”创造条件。 为实现这一愿景,河南省人民政府领导下的学术机构与北京大学高等人文研究院共同发起创建“天地之中——华夏文明与世界文明嵩山论坛”。河南省登封市嵩山是联合国有关机构认定的以“天地之中”命名的世界文化遗产和世界地质遗产,是华夏文明的发源地。在“天地之中”举办的嵩山论坛,旨在推动华夏文明向全球多元文明开放、交流、对话、反思、学习、创新。嵩山论坛以国际性与本土性相结合,充分体现地方特色,创建国际文化学术交流的高端平台。论坛立足中原华夏文明传承创新核心区,面向世界,增进各国各民族文化上的相互了解和理解,从而达到相互尊重与学习、共同进步和繁荣的目的。 本届嵩山论坛由北京大学高等人文研究院、河南华夏历史文明传承创新基金会、郑州嵩山文明研究院联合主办,河南登封市人民政府承办,于2012年9月20日至23日在中国河南登封举行。2010年第34届世界文化遗产委员会会议批准,河南登封之嵩山以“天地之中”历史建筑群成功地列入世界遗产名录。成功申遗的建筑包括嵩阳书院、中岳庙、太室阙、少室阙、启母阙、会善寺、嵩岳寺塔、少林寺常住院、塔林、初祖庵等8处11项,构成了一部华夏中原两千多年的文化遗产,是中华文明的真实载体和生动体现。本届论坛以“从轴心文明到对话文明”为主题,在这个以“天地之中”命名的世界文化遗产圣地,邀集国内外对世界诸文明深有研究的知名学者,交流对话,共促二十一世纪的中国文化面世界开放,实现大发展大繁荣。

2012年9月2日,杜维明:最厚实的文化资源多半在民间
8 月 30 日下午,著名学者杜维明受邀来到广州,出席 2012 年广州论坛,并将在次日 的专家论坛上发表题为《人文精神与生态意识》的演讲。在他抵达广州之际,接受了《信 息时报》专访,就新型城市化、软实力、文化复兴等话题发表了看法。 杜维明早年受徐复观、牟宗三等新儒家思想的影响,之后在美国又系统地研习过西方 哲学,他自述从 1966 年起,决心全力从事对儒家精神作长期的探索,并以此作为自己专 业研究工作。 作为“儒学第三期”的主要推动者,杜维明长期致力于阐释儒家经典,同时以世界文化 多元发展的眼光审视儒家传统,力图通过对传统的创造性转化复兴中国文化。多年来,其 开拓的“文化中国”、“文明对话”、“启蒙反思”、“儒学第三期”等诸多论域,在国际思想界产 生了广泛深远的影响。 这次来广州参加新型城市化论坛,杜维明还是一如既往地从传统儒学中挖掘适应现代 城市发展的精神资源。无论是谈到城市化问题,还是文化复兴,他都屡屡提及儒家文化传 统。对于文化复兴问题,他尤其指出,“文化必须在日常生活中体现,最厚实的文化资源多 半在民间,这是中国儒家传统,不是超越的外在的,而是就在人的日常生活中。” 城市化需要人与自然和谐相处的生态意识
